The Bash is a two-day festival conceived by Lena-Lisa Wüstendörfer at the Konzerthalle Andermatt. In 2026, it explores the pull between homesickness and wanderlust: setting out and returning, roots and horizons. Part I, titled "Ufbruch" ("Setting out"), opens the festival with a spirit of new beginnings, tracing emotions from longing to euphoria. The programme bridges classical, pop and soul, with Swiss pop-soul artist Marc Sway as the "artiste étoile". Sway joins the Swiss Orchestra Soloists under Wüstendörfer, with a guest appearance by the Swiss Youth Choir ensemble. Set in the Gotthard region—a centuries-old symbol of connection between North and South—the festival is described as part party, part experimental lab, and part creative collision, fusing tradition and modernity rather than simply adding strings to pop. The result is a total artwork where different musical worlds meet in openness and innovation.
