The Radio Philharmonic Orchestra presents Rossini’s Stabat Mater with the Netherlands Radio Choir in two concerts: an evening performance in Utrecht (AVROTROS Vrijdagconcert) on 6 November 2026 and a Sunday morning concert at the Royal Concertgebouw, Amsterdam, on 8 November 2026. Edward Gardner conducts; the soloists are Emily Pogorelc (soprano), Ekaterine Buachidze (mezzo-soprano), Edgardo Rocha (tenor) and Giorgi Manoshvili (bass). The Amsterdam morning concert is part of Het Zondagochtend Concert and is played without intermission, aligning with the All Saints’/All Souls’ period. In Utrecht the same programme is performed in an evening format and includes an intermission. The Netherlands Radio Choir, the country’s only professional choir dedicated to large-scale choral-symphonic repertoire, joins the orchestra for Rossini’s powerful score.
