Presented under the theme "German Autumn," this concert unites three German composers across three genres: an opera overture, a concerto, and a symphony. It is framed as a varied musical journey through German Romanticism, matching the season with music both cheerful and contemplative. The Malmö Opera Orchestra performs offsite at Science Village Hall in Lund as part of its touring activity, bringing orchestral concerts beyond Malmö. The conductor is Samuel Seungwon Lee, the young South Korean winner of the 2024 Malko Competition. The two soloists in Brahms’s Double Concerto come from the orchestra’s own ranks: principal cellist Lea Brøndal and first concertmaster Anders Hjortvall, showcasing the ensemble’s leading players.
