The “Classical Music for All” series at Scharoun Theater Wolfsburg, created with Theaterring Wolfsburg e.V. and the Philharmonic Society Wolfsburg e.V., welcomes both classical music lovers and newcomers by explaining the music before it is performed. This edition, titled “Beauty,” focuses on Gustav Mahler’s sound world, pairing the Rückert-Lieder with the symphonic poem Totenfeier. The Lower Saxony Youth Symphony Orchestra performs under Magdalena Klein, with mezzo-soprano Katrin Wundsam as soloist; moderator Martin Weller provides introductions.
