Visitas Táctiles 2026-2027 – National Theater of Catalonia, Barcelona

About this event

Visitas táctiles 2026-2027 is an accessibility program by the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya (TNC) that offers a 60-minute tactile orientation session before select accessible performances throughout the 2026–2027 season. Each session begins at 12:00 and is free of charge with prior registration. During the visit, participants are guided onto the stage to walk through the set and physically handle scenic elements, costumes, and props of the day’s associated TNC production. Specialists from the artistic and technical team explain scenographic choices, the information conveyed by specific costume designs, and visual codes and color symbolism, so that visually impaired attendees can build a mental model of the production’s physical world. The program forms part of TNC’s wider accessibility initiative, which also includes audio description, adapted subtitling, magnetic loops, and amplified sound. Capacity is limited and registration is required via the TNC ticketing platform.
