Juilliard Jazz Ensembles – The Juilliard School, New York

The Juilliard Jazz Ensembles present a rotating series of small-ensemble concerts throughout the 2026–27 academic year, the 25th anniversary season of Juilliard Jazz (founded in 2001). Led institutionally by Wynton Marsalis (Director) and Aaron A. Flagg (Associate Director and Dean of Jazz Studies), the anniversary year highlights ensembles of all sizes and collaborations among students, alumni, and distinguished guest artists. Juilliard jazz students perform in traditional and contemporary combos—ranging from trios to nonets—coached by Jazz Studies faculty, with the small ensembles forming the core of the program’s professional training. Eight concerts are scheduled at Paul Hall (The Juilliard School), alternating between evening (7:30pm) and afternoon (3:00pm) times. Repertoire and guest artist details for these ensemble concerts will be announced closer to each date. Tickets are free or low-cost (priced at $50 or less, with many events free), with public on-sale beginning June 15.
