Juilliard Jazz Ensembles showcase the small-group artistry of The Juilliard School’s Jazz Studies program, which celebrates its 25th anniversary in the 2026–27 season. The program comprises multiple coached combos named for jazz icons—such as the Dave Brubeck, Betty Carter, Dizzy Gillespie, Jelly Roll Morton, and Max Roach Ensembles—each guided by a faculty coach who shapes the group’s repertoire and artistic direction. At Dizzy’s Club, performances are presented in two sets per evening (typically 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM), often featuring different ensembles in each set to highlight contrasting styles and repertoire.
