The Juilliard Jazz Orchestra is the flagship large ensemble of Juilliard's Jazz program, presenting concerts throughout the academic year at the Peter Jay Sharp Theater. The 2026–27 season marks the 25th anniversary of Juilliard Jazz, a program that has shaped the jazz landscape through the training of emerging artists. Each concert is typically built around a distinct thematic program, often led by guest conductors, and showcases the ensemble’s modern big band sound. The season also highlights cross-disciplinary collaboration at Juilliard, including a notable partnership with the Juilliard Orchestra to perform Wynton Marsalis’ Symphony No. 4, “The Jungle.”
