Raices D' Jauja is a Peruvian Andean music ensemble specializing in tunantada, a traditional festive genre from Jauja (Junín region). For over 24 years, the group has blended Andean instrumentation with contemporary arrangements—featuring brass, percussion, and vocals—true to the tunantada tradition. Their appearances at the Gran Teatro Nacional have framed this regional music as gala concerts, bringing local heritage to Peru’s premier national stage. The 2026 edition continues the theatre’s mission, under the Ministry of Culture of Peru, to highlight the country’s cultural diversity.
