About this event

Handel’s Messiah in concert performance led by Emmanuelle Haïm with her period-instrument ensemble Le Concert d’Astrée (orchestra and chorus). Four soloists—Lucy Crowe (soprano), Carlo Vistoli (countertenor), Lunga Eric Hallam (tenor), and Ashley Riches (baritone)—join the ensemble. Presented in Ibermúsica’s 2026/27 Serie Barbieri (concert B4) at the Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid, this is the series’ marquee choral/oratorio event. The performance forms part of a broader tour by Haïm and Le Concert d’Astrée that includes Madrid (Dec 10, 2026) and Los Angeles (Dec 15, 2026), with the project continuing to the Salzburg Easter Festival in March 2027.
