About this event

This ballet gala opens Theater Nordhausen’s 2026/27 season and introduces the audience to incoming ballet director Maša Kolar, successor to Ivan Alboresi. Quoting Hermann Hesse’s line “And in every beginning there is a magic,” the evening celebrates new beginnings and artistic transition. Combining dance with onstage conversations moderated by Kolar and Daniel Klajner, it offers personal insights into the new season, the choreographers, and the ensemble. Highlights include Alboresi’s interpretation of Giselle (music by Adolphe Adam), a look at his creation The Four Seasons, Adi Salant’s new work Das Glühen, and first previews of Kolar’s upcoming ballet evening Prélude – Boléro – Sacre (premiere on 30 October 2026). Company dancers also present their own pieces. Hosted at the intimate Theater im Anbau, the gala emphasizes proximity and dialogue with the audience.
