This Fort Worth Opera production marks the North Texas premiere of Derrick Wang's Scalia/Ginsburg, presented at the historic Ridglea Theater. Directed by Audrey Chait and conducted by Stephanie Rhodes Russell, both in their Fort Worth Opera debuts, the staging features musicians from the Chamber Music Society of Fort Worth in the work’s septet orchestration. The three principal roles are performed by Peter Scott Drackley (Antonin Scalia, tenor), Jennifer Zetlan (Ruth Bader Ginsburg, soprano), and Andrew Simpson (Commentator, bass-baritone). Zetlan previously sang Ginsburg in Opera Delaware’s 2019 production, later broadcast nationally and streamed internationally. The Ridglea Theater’s Art Deco setting reflects Fort Worth Opera’s commitment to presenting contemporary opera in non-traditional venues as part of its 2026–2027 season.
