About this event

The first pillow concert of the BSO’s 2026/27 season is designed as a Relaxed Performance. Children aged 4+ sit on floor cushions close to the action in the intimate Mansarde space of Stadttheater Bern. A small ensemble of violin, cello, and piano meets a tenor and an actor as the spectacled bear; music and storytelling interweave. Excerpts by Mozart and Rossini, lullabies from around the world, and original music by Denise Fournier introduce orchestral sounds in a playful way. Text by Denise Fournier, direction by Fabienne Biever; the 2026 adaptation was developed jointly, integrating musical arrangement and theatrical staging.
