This concert opens Trio Fibonacci's 2026–2027 season with a program devoted entirely to Spanish composers for piano trio. Presented under Bourgie Hall's Guest presenters series, the evening traces Spanish musical identity: Albéniz’s flamenco-inflected intensity, Granados’s romantic lyricism, Turina’s impressionistic color, and Cassadó’s fusion of Arab–Spanish influences. Spanning the late 19th to mid-20th century, the program showcases the breadth of Spanish chamber music within the intimate trio medium, where the cello’s voice—so central to Cassadó—resonates alongside violin and piano. It is a vibrant season opener that connects the guitar’s shadow and Iberian warmth across diverse styles.
