Bourgie Hall presents this chamber music concert featuring three internationally recognized soloists—pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet, violinist Lisa Batiashvili, and cellist Gautier Capuçon—performing together as a piano trio for the first time at this venue. The program spans three distinct compositional eras and styles, opening with Shostakovich's youthful single-movement Piano Trio No. 1 in C minor, followed by Debussy's early Piano Trio in G major, and concluding with Dvořák's Romantic Piano Trio No. 3 in F minor. The concert is part of Bourgie Hall's 2026–2027 chamber music series, in the Claire and Marc Bourgie Pavilion of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, whose intimate acoustics are ideal for chamber music. This engagement is one stop on a North American tour by the trio during October 2026, with the same program performed across all tour venues.
