Tragedy gives way to hope in a concert celebrating the resilience and passion of the human spirit. The evening pairs Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet ‘Fantasy Overture’ with Beethoven’s monumental Symphony No. 9. Love and death, fellowship and freedom unite in two thrilling orchestral masterworks, culminating in the exhilarating ‘Ode to Joy’, performed by the Glyndebourne Sinfonia, the Glyndebourne Chorus, and world-class soloists. The Autumn 2026 Season is supported by Arts Council England, Dunard Fund, Laidlaw Opera Trust, and the Tioc Foundation.
