Presented by NDR, this chamber concert in the Elbphilharmonie’s Kleiner Saal brings international piano soloist Leif Ove Andsnes together with string players from the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra for an evening devoted to the piano quintet. In the intimate, shoebox-style acoustics of the Recital Hall, two rarely heard Boccherini piano quintets frame Robert Schumann’s seminal Piano Quintet in E-flat major, Op. 44.
