The ePhil series at the Elbphilharmonie is a platform for electronic music that brings together diverse aesthetics from techno-ambient to abstract electronica. Within this framework, Chayyel by Rayess Bek and visual artist Joan Baz breathes new life into traditional Lebanese dabke dance music through contemporary electronic production. A strong visual language is integral to the experience: immersive live visuals complement the sound design to create a multimedia performance in the Elbphilharmonie’s Kleiner Saal.
