About this event

This special concert features one of the most outstanding works of Baroque polychorality: Heinrich Ignaz Franz Biber’s Missa Salisburgensis. The Baroque Ensemble of the Bavarian State Orchestra joins forces with the renowned Augsburg Cathedral Boys’ Choir and the specialist ensemble Les Cornets Noirs to create an extraordinary sonic experience. Under the direction of seasoned Baroque specialists, the work’s magnificent polyphony unfolds in all its spatial and tonal brilliance — a musical celebration of Baroque opulence that transforms the sacred space into pure sound architecture.
