About this event

This staging of Friedrich Dürrenmatt’s modern classic The Visit (Der Besuch der alten Dame) is directed by Barbara-David Brüesch and presented in a bespoke Swiss German dialect version. The production integrates live music with an original score by Felix Roemer; instruments such as accordion, piano, saxophone, clarinet, flute, and tuba are woven directly into the action. The Chorus of Theater St.Gallen also participates. Set design is by Alain Rappaport, costumes by Sabin Fleck, and lighting by Andreas Enzler.
