Einblick La Calisto – Staatsoper Unter den Linden, Berlin

About this event

A few days before the premiere of La Calisto, this "Einblick" event grants audiences special insights into the creative process of the production. During a short rehearsal visit, attendees have the opportunity to experience the artists at work. Background information on the piece and the conceptual ideas behind the staging are discussed by the participants in conversation with the responsible dramaturges. The main production is directed by Stefan Herheim, who stages this colorful kaleidoscope of words and sounds using a "baroque sci-fi aesthetic" that embraces all the thematic variety and color inherent in the opera, culminating in a starry sky. Christina Pluhar creates the opera’s musical magic with her ensemble L’Arpeggiata.
