About this event
A commemorative symphonic concert marking the 150th anniversary of the birth of Spanish composer Manuel de Falla. Presented by the Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional (OSSODRE) and produced by Sodre, the evening focuses on Falla’s music and the broader Spanish popular tradition. The program bridges classical orchestration with authentic flamenco roots, highlighted by flamenco cantaora Mariola Membrives. Structured in two parts, it opens with Suite Homenajes and Lorca’s Canciones populares españolas, and culminates in the iconic 1925 suite from the ballet El amor brujo.
