About this event
This installment of the New York Philharmonic's Artist Spotlight series brings together a stellar trio for a rare joint appearance that reveals the subtle beauty of chamber music. The performance takes place in the Wu Tsai Theater at David Geffen Hall. The artistic vision centers on highlighting the distinct emotional landscapes of three major piano trios, journeying from Shostakovich’s youthful and mercurial Piano Trio No. 1 to Debussy’s melodically exquisite Piano Trio, culminating in Dvořák’s Piano Trio No. 3, a deeply emotional work composed following the death of the composer's mother.
