About this event

PixiOpera is a miniature opera format created and narrated specifically for children, using songs and musical excerpts from famous operas fitted with new lyrics. In Papageno og Papagena, the music comes from Mozart’s The Magic Flute, woven into a fresh Danish text and a playful narrative. The production offers a first encounter with opera for schoolchildren in a fun, unpretentious setting. Performances are short and focused, making the art form approachable for young audiences. The venue opens 30 minutes before curtain so school classes can settle in comfortably. The atmosphere encourages curiosity and imagination while showcasing live singing and piano accompaniment.
