About this event
This concert celebrates 30 years of Cæcilie Norby’s recordings on the iconic Blue Note Records label. As the first Scandinavian vocalist signed by Bruce Lundvall, Norby’s early crossover artistry bridged the freedom of jazz with the melodic warmth of pop—an approach that later became central to Blue Note’s success with other leading artists. The performance takes place on the Old Stage (Gamle Scene) at the Royal Danish Theatre, a venue with personal significance for Norby, who grew up behind its scenes while her mother, the opera singer Solveig Lumholt, sang leading roles including Mimì in La Bohème and the title role in Madame Butterfly. Presented by Live Nation, Norby appears with an all-star band to revisit highlights from her Blue Note repertoire.
