Opera Bar with the Stars of Tomorrow is an informal foyer concert at The Opera House in Copenhagen. In the glow of Olafur Eliasson’s chandeliers and with open views of the harbour, audiences encounter opera up close, sitting on the steps, in chairs, or by the bar with a drink or coffee. The setting, framed by decorations by Per Kirkeby and Per Arnoldi and the maple shell that surrounds the Main Stage, turns the foyer into an intimate performance space. The evening showcases emerging singers from the Royal Danish Opera Academy (Operaakademiet) and the Young Artist Programme, joined by invited guests and artists from the Royal Danish Opera. Together they present beloved arias and duets in a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere that blurs the line between stage and audience.
