About this event

Les Arts Florissants returns to Wigmore Hall with founder-director William Christie and co-director Paul Agnew to celebrate Claudio Monteverdi, a true musical revolutionary. The programme focuses on Monteverdi’s secular madrigals and dramatic pieces, shaped by the ensemble’s long immersion in Baroque performance practice. Across the evening, the artists highlight the intense emotions and vivid contrasts that define Monteverdi’s expressive art. Presented within Wigmore Hall’s 2026/27 Season.
