The Purcell School Chamber Soloists; Alex Redington Director – Wigmore Hall, London

About this event

This lunchtime concert at Wigmore Hall showcases the emerging talent of The Purcell School Chamber Soloists under the guidance of Alex Redington. Promoted by The Purcell School, the programme centres on George Enescu’s monumental String Octet in C major, Op. 7. The performance is designed as a focused, one-hour event without an interval, aligning with Wigmore Hall’s lunchtime format. Redington, Head of Strings at The Purcell School and founding first violinist of the Doric String Quartet, leads the ensemble, shaping the artistic vision and interpretation of Enescu’s large-scale chamber work.
