About this event
Nils Mönkemeyer and his regular duo partner, pianist William Youn, return to Wigmore Hall for an intimate morning recital. Mönkemeyer is internationally recognized for his exquisite artistry, innovative programming, and a seemingly infinite range of tonal colors that build a tremendous sense of anticipation during his performances. Presented within Wigmore Hall’s Sunday Morning Concerts for the 2026/27 season, the one-hour programme runs without an interval and includes a complimentary coffee, sherry or juice with each ticket. The programme sets Brahms’s mellow viola version of the Second Clarinet Sonata alongside two works by Rebecca Clarke, connecting late-Romantic lyricism with the early 20th‑century viola renaissance inspired by Lionel Tertis.
