About this event

Denmark’s NOVO Quartet, founded in 2018, presents a lunchtime chamber music concert at Wigmore Hall featuring works by Felix Mendelssohn and Carl Nielsen. The ensemble, which joined the BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artists scheme in 2025, has previously won top prizes at the Geneva, Heidelberg, Carl Nielsen, and Trondheim competitions. The program focuses on the second string quartets of both featured composers, highlighting the ensemble's established affinity for Scandinavian repertoire alongside core Romantic works.
