About this event

The Orsino Ensemble, comprising some of Britain’s finest wind players, performs as part of the Wigmore Hall/BBC Lunchtime Concerts 2026/27 Season (September–December). The ensemble is noted for its flexible format and strikingly diverse repertoire, and has been praised by the Guardian for “all-star playing of the highest level.” This one-hour, no-interval chamber concert features the standard wind quintet line-up and is presented by Wigmore Hall. The programme places twentieth-century classics alongside a significant contemporary statement, including a UK première.
