About this event

Renowned English tenor Ian Bostridge joins 2014 Van Cliburn Gold Medallist Vadym Kholodenko for an immersive evening devoted to Robert Schumann. The recital’s concept highlights the composer’s emotional extremes—his impetuous ‘Florestan’ and reflective ‘Eusebius’—through a carefully balanced sequence that alternates expansive solo piano masterworks with intimate song cycles. By pairing two cornerstone piano works with two vocal cycles, the programme illuminates Schumann’s poetic imagination and dramatic range across roughly two hours, including an interval.
