A specially curated Viennese-themed recital by countertenor Iestyn Davies and harpist Oliver Wass, this programme traces the evolution of art song in Vienna from the Classical era to Romanticism. Anchored by a unique dramatic cantata fashioned by the artists from Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice, the journey continues through Haydn and into Beethoven’s early Viennese world, with further selections to be announced from Schubert, Schumann, and Brahms.
