About this event
Fabio Luisi leads the Danish National Symphony Orchestra in an all‑Brahms program. The evening opens with Arnold Schönberg’s vivid orchestration of Brahms’s Piano Quartet in G minor, transforming the intimate chamber piece into a colorful, rhythmically charged symphonic canvas where the strings can shine. After the interval comes Brahms’s Symphony No. 4 in E minor, the composer’s valedictory symphony whose passacaglia finale contemplates fate and mortality with austere beauty. The concert lasts about 2 hours and 10 minutes including a 30‑minute interval. A free “Mød Musikken” introduction takes place one hour before the performance.
