About this event
The Franz Schubert Filharmonia presents a program titled “Tchaikovsky and Strauss: Symphonic Brilliance,” marking the return of pianist Yulianna Avdeeva after her acclaimed debut last season. Avdeeva brings her poetic authority and fiery energy to Tchaikovsky’s monumental Piano Concerto No. 1. Under the baton of Gabriel Bebeșelea, the orchestra explores the rich late-Romantic colors of Richard Strauss with Don Juan and Till Eulenspiegel—works the composer himself conducted at the Palau de la Música Catalana in 1925.
