About this event
This concert unites two international classical music stars for a celebration of Camille Saint-Saëns’s elegant and colorful music. Violin virtuoso Leonidas Kavakos appears as conductor with the Danish National Symphony Orchestra, and acclaimed British cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason makes his DR Koncerthuset debut. The program frames Saint-Saëns with a festive Sinfonia by J.S. Bach and culminates in the composer’s monumental Organ Symphony, showcasing the hall’s grand pipe organ. A free pre-concert talk, “Mød Musikken,” begins one hour before the performance.
