Grand Concert n°2 is a flagship choral-orchestral event in the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne’s 2026–2027 season. Under the baton of William Christie, the OCL joins forces with the Ensemble Vocal de Lausanne for a program devoted entirely to Handel’s monumental oratorio, Messiah (Le Messie), HWV 56. The performance embraces a historically informed yet vibrant approach, shaped by Christie’s deep expertise in 18th‑century repertoire. A lineup of five vocal soloists—soprano, mezzo-soprano, countertenor, tenor, and bass-baritone—adds color and texture across the work’s expansive emotional and musical range.
