About this event
The Florentine Opera presents Giuseppe Verdi's classic tragedy, La Traviata, exploring themes of romance, sacrifice, and societal judgment. The production is rated PG, noting elements of partying and death by illness, indicating a staging faithful to the mature themes of the original work. The creative vision is led by Stage Director Katherine Carter and Conductor Kensho Watanabe. The production is supported by the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and The Florentine Opera Chorus under the direction of Chorus Master Dr. Benjamin Rivera. To enrich the audience experience, the company has scheduled ancillary events around the performances, including an Opening Night Dinner and a Post-Show Party on October 16, as well as Pre-Opera Talks in the Anello Atrium before both performances.
