Copenhagen Phil presents a profound symphonic journey anchored by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s final symphony, the Pathétique. Under the baton of Ramon Tebar, the program contrasts the existential weight of Tchaikovsky’s farewell with the youthful yet tinged-with-melancholy Mozart Symphony No. 29. A rotating middle work distinguishes the two dates: on 6 November, Richard Strauss’s Duet-Concertino brings the clarinet and bassoon to the fore; on 7 November, Mozart’s darkly dramatic Piano Concerto No. 20 features a solo piano. Across both evenings, the orchestra explores intensity, tenderness, and volatility—offering audiences two distinct perspectives within one cohesive symphonic narrative.
