Still in his early 20s, Canadian pianist Tony Siqi Yun makes his Princeton University Concerts debut with a program designed to showcase both technical pyrotechnics and epic sweep. A 2024 graduate of the Juilliard School and Gold Medalist at the China International Music Competition, Yun has built a reputation for performances that are polished yet unpredictable, blending precision with daring exploration. The recital is presented as part of both the "Performances Up Close" and "Pianists in Recital" series at Princeton University. The program bookends monumental works by Beethoven and Liszt with Busoni’s reimagined transcriptions of J.S. Bach, presenting pieces that serve as ultimate calling cards for a pianist's technical and expressive capabilities.
