London City Ballet returns after three decades, reborn under the artistic direction of Christopher Marney. The company’s programming blends the excellence of classical repertoire with the modernity of contemporary choreography. This touring production, managed by Delta Danse, presents a double bill by renowned choreographers John Neumeier and Glen Tetley. The first piece, Ghost Light, is a 2026 version of Neumeier’s 2020 creation, set to the music of Franz Schubert and performed with live piano accompaniment by Reina Okada. The second piece is a bold restaging of L’Oiseau de Feu (The Firebird), originally created for the Royal Danish Ballet by American choreographer Glen Tetley, here staged by Christopher Marney with costumes and sets by John Macfarlane.
