About this event
Opera Baltimore’s 2026–2027 season is themed around desire and its consequences. Across three operas, the company explores different forms of wanting and the cost of chasing what might ultimately undo us—whether that is the pursuit of a person, of power, or of a fragile, fleeting future. The season asks what happens when desire wins and when it loses, with stakes that range from love to survival. The season opens with Mozart’s Don Giovanni, fully staged with orchestra at Stephens Hall in Towson. Verdi’s Macbeth and Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas follow as intimate Concert Operas with piano at the Engineers Club in Baltimore.
