About this event

Opening Theater Ulm’s 2026/2027 Musiktheater season under the motto “Schwüre” (Oaths), this new staging of the five‑act grand opéra Ja Juive (Die Jüdin) is conceived as a clear statement against antisemitism. Directed by Marco Štorman with musical direction by Generalmusikdirektor Felix Bender, the production aligns with the season’s focus on the performativity and power of language—how vows, oaths, and loyalties are made, tested, and broken. The team intends to directly engage and inspire the Ulm audience, aiming for an artistic impulse that resonates across the city and its community.
