About this event
This jubilee concert marks the twenty-fifth season of the Academy of the Concertgebouw Orchestra, an internationally respected training institute whose alumni have won positions in leading orchestras, including nineteen (soon twenty-one) within the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. The event unites current Academy musicians with alumni and participants of Concertgebouw Orchestra Young to showcase the impact of the orchestra’s talent development. Chief conductor designate Klaus Mäkelä leads the combined forces. Former associate conductor Aurel Dawidiuk returns to conduct the opening suite and later appears as organ soloist. More than an anniversary, the evening celebrates a long-term commitment to fostering the next generation of symphonic musicians.
