The "Visiting the Orchestra" (В гостях у оркестра) subscription series is a comprehensive eight-concert symphonic cycle presented by the Novosibirsk Academic Symphony Orchestra for the 2026–2027 season. The programming balances canonical masterpieces with significant local premieres, offering Novosibirsk audiences their first live experiences of Webern's Passacaglia op. 1, d'Indy's Symphony on a French Mountain Air, Honegger's Symphony No. 3 "Liturgique", and Glazunov's Symphony No. 4. The series features a diverse roster of guest conductors and soloists from across Russia and internationally, including César Álvarez from Spain. The artistic direction under Dimitris Botinis emphasizes fresh interpretations of beloved classics alongside the introduction of rarely performed 20th-century repertoire, creating a dynamic educational and cultural offering for the region.
