About this event

A performance by one of Russia’s most renowned and oldest choral ensembles—the Sretensky Monastery Choir—on the stage of the Grand Hall of Zaryadye Concert Hall. The ensemble is led by Artistic Director Andrey Poltorukhin. The concert was originally scheduled for 21 September 2026 but has been officially rescheduled to 5 October 2026 with the original concept preserved. The program is dedicated to the Orthodox Feast of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos. The evening traditionally unites sacred chants, masterpieces of folk music, and author compositions that reflect the rich traditions of the Russian choral school. Aimed at a broad audience (6+), the event seeks to convey the festive and luminous atmosphere of the celebration.
