About this event

Subscription No. 2 (2026–27) “Visiting the Orchestra” welcomes audiences to meet renowned guest conductors and soloists. Across three concerts on 9 October, 14 November, and 19 December 2026 at the Arnold Katz State Concert Hall, the series presents both innovative 20th‑century works and classics of the 19th and 20th centuries. On 9 October the program features the Novosibirsk premiere of Anton Webern’s Passacaglia, along with Korngold’s Violin Concerto and Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 6. On 14 November, Karl Amadeus Hartmann’s deeply moving Concerto funebre is paired with Maurice Ravel’s dazzling orchestral colors in the Daphnis and Chloe Suite and Rapsodie espagnole. On 19 December, Beethoven’s monumental “Emperor” Piano Concerto stands alongside Khachaturian’s vivid Suite from the ballet Spartacus. Age guidance: 12+.
