This special recital marks the 15th anniversary of pianist Miyuji Kaneko’s Japan debut. Guided by his strong mission to bring live music to as many people as possible, he returns to the foundations of his artistry with works by Beethoven and Liszt. In an age of AI, he positions this stage as a new challenge to communicate the human-to-human power of music. Kaneko moved to Hungary at the age of six and studied at the Bartók Elementary School of Music and the Liszt Academy. As a sixth-generation pupil in Liszt’s direct lineage, Liszt’s B minor Sonata is a vital touchstone by which he checks his current attainment. Firmly grounded in the German–Austrian tradition as well, his decision to take on Beethoven’s three great sonatas signals his strong resolve to pursue ever greater refinement fifteen years after his debut.
