Giuseppe Verdi’s monumental Requiem unfolds as an overwhelming spiritual journey that confronts timeless questions of life and death. Thunderous visions of the Last Judgment collide with hushed prayers for eternal light, creating a work that both terrifies and consoles. At Malmö Live Konserthus, Chief Conductor Martyn Brabbins leads the Malmö SymfoniOrkester, two distinguished choirs (Lunds vokalensemble and Petri Sångare), and four international soloists. Part of the 2026–27 season’s Platina and Silver series, the concert places Verdi’s full palette of vocal and orchestral color in the spotlight. A pre-concert introduction is scheduled at 18:00 on Thursday, October 29, on the Kanalscenen stage.
