The Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra performs Brahms’s Symphony No. 2 conducted by Fabio Luisi. The concert is part of the Essentials series, designed especially for listeners who are new to or less familiar with symphonic music. Each edition presents a must-hear masterpiece by the Concertgebouw Orchestra, introduced in an engaging and creative way by presenter Thomas Vanderveken, in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. On 12 December 2026 the programme consists solely of Brahms’s Second Symphony and there is no interval. The concert starts at 21:00 with a stimulating introduction by Thomas Vanderveken.
